Dreams He'll Never Know.

I hate when I have overly romantic dreams... especially, the ones that seem plausable at one point in time. With all the right people I used to know in the right roles to make this very lovely dream happen.
It been years since I've seen you. Or really anyone I dreamt about last night that lead me back to you. Making it all so painfully clear this dream will never come true.
Maybe, this dream is just a byproduct of the story where I wrote you as the romantic lead...twice. I already imagined these epic love stories with us, our friends and families in the starring roles. You were crowned Jimmy Studman by my older brother at one point. Not that you'll ever know that. With that moniker, a super hero was born. Literally, in a literature kind of way. I imagined you saving me.
I used to write fanfics with my friends, starring my friends, the main love interest started out as my favorite actor at the time but you slowly eclisped him. I made a story where instead of me ending up with the famous actor, I end up with you, the boy from my Foods class freshman year. I swear EVERYONE in that knew how I felt about you. God, I'm at a point where I can kind of picture those other students but I wouldn't be able to tell you their names. It's been so long. You're the bright spot of that point in time.
That story about us that you'll never know about made me realize I really enjoy writing and maybe it was time to stop writing about real people and assigning them thought and feelings they never have or will have. Thus, So There was born but still that main love interest looked suspicously like you in my head. I've since moved past that.

God, this all sounds so pathic and stalkerish. I need a life. I need a Garry. I just need someone to save me from the crushing loneliness that I tell everyone I'm fine with, I'm contend being perpetually single. Most of the time it's true. People are exhausting. I've tried and tried but I've ever been wanted back. Not once. Not even by you. I know you can't save me, you don't even know me anymore. Not, that you ever really did. Not that I let you.
Let's face it I live in my writings and the books I read hoping that someday I'll have at least a short love story of my own where feelings were mutual. I guess I need to change something because clearly I've always been the problem.

The Mirrored Fish

There once was a fish with scales that reflected like a mirror. Most of the time the fish was invisible to the world until the sun hit the fish just right and the whole world could see the colors reflecting off of this marvelous fish in a rainbow in the sky. Everyone waited everyday hoping that this strange rainbow that seemed to come out of nowhere would appear again.
One day a fisherman came across the fish at first he wasn't able to see it but just as the sun came across the sky directly over the fish the fisherman became blinded by the rainbow. For days the fisherman was stranded in the middle of the ocean unable to see anything but raving about the unusual fish living in the water. Everyone in his town called him crazy. Soon the fisherman was known as The Nut that Lives in the Hut. Every word he spoke was about the invisible fish that blinded him.
People from far away showed up in his town having heard the stories he had told. They were curious to see if the stories were true or not. They went to the fisherman's neighbors to ask them questions about their strange neighbor. They learned that before he was found on the water raving about the fish, the fisherman had the best eyesight in town. The visitors decided that they needed to find what blinded the poor fisherman. They rented a boat and bought supplies that would last them for days.
They set out on their trip the following morning, Later that day, they notice a rainbow shooting out from the water a couple miles away as the sky exploded its different colors. They experienced this sky in their hometown not knowing where the rainbow came from. After the light disappeared they headed towards the area where the light came from. They waited for the light to appear again but this time it was back in the direction they came from the day before.  They quickly came up with a plan on how to find this invisible fish. They took harmless colored powder and started throwing it into the water. They did this for days careful not to look into the water when the sun was shiny over head having realized that's how the fisherman had become blind.
They found the fish. They even caught and  planned on putting it on display in an aquarium but one of the people on the boat reasoned with them.
"If we take the fish now there would be no more rainbows in the sky. I say we throw it back." They all argued and took sides but in the end the fish was thrown back and they who wanted to keep the fish didn't want to spend another week tracking it. They all sailed back to the town. They let everyone know that the now blind fisherman wasn't crazy at all and that the mirrored fish was in the water to stay.

The Great Adventure of Jimmy Studman: The High School Super Hero Boyfriend (Volume 1)

The Great Adventure of Jimmy Studman:
The High School Super Hero Boyfriend

Jimmy Studman isn’t just a regular high school student, he’s a super hero! This is the story about how he also becomes a boyfriend. Jimmy Studman is no other than the high school super hero boyfriend! Jimmy Studman, like in his last name, is a STUD! He has brown hair and the best brown eyes ever! He has the cutest smile on the planet. His looks weren’t all he was good for. Oh no! He is a super hero, remember? Well, he has super speed, strength, he can fly and he can read minds. But he is really polite about his mind reading powers. He only uses them when needed. He also played sports but he had to keep his powers down while playing so no one would say he was cheating. Let’s just say he is a perfect boyfriend. But wait! He doesn’t have a girlfriend! Yep, that’s right. He’s single. I’ll bet you’re wondering why. Well, it’s not that girls don’t like him trust me. Most of his friends are girls and those girls fall all over him! But he didn’t like them. He hasn’t met the girl he likes. Well…not until now.
He became the high school super hero boyfriend on one hot August day. He was at school like everyone else, even his soon to be girlfriend who he still hasn’t met. But it was happening soon. Real soon. It all started at lunchtime, that’s when Jimmy Studman heard an ear-splitting scream. As he quickly raced to the spot it was coming from, there he found her. Yes, her! The girl of his dreams! She was only a little bit shorter than him but he didn’t care that she was tall. He never really liked short girls. Anyways! She had medium brown hair and the prettiest blue eyes that he had ever seen but he didn’t want to tell her because he could tell by the expression on her face that she was kind of freaked out by how fast he got there from the time she screamed.
“Hey, is everything all right here?” Jimmy Studman asked this girl who just so happened to be on the ground.
“Ugh…yeah. I just fell is all.” She said as Jimmy Studman gave her his hand to help her up.
“You should be more careful.” Jimmy Studman said with his award-winning smile. It seemed to impress the girl a little.
“Yeah, I should.” She said simply, and then some girls that seemed to know the girl came up and told her to hurry up. But, when she tried to walk away they both realized that they were still holding hands. She was pulled back even by his effortless tug. She looked down at their hands before saying, “I should go. It was nice to meet you. Thanks for coming when I screamed. It was really…really sweet.” She said as he let go of her hand. She ran to her friends only looking back when she got to them to find he was already gone.
Man, why didn’t I ask her name? I want to know her name. Jimmy Studman thought to himself on his way to his last class of the day.
I have to find her somehow. He thought as he sat down next to his best friend, Gus.
“Gus, man, I met this girl today and I don’t even know her name.”
“Well, dude, the only thing left to do is a musical number!” Gus said jokingly.
“Seriously, this was the girl of my dreams.” Jimmy Studman admitted to Gus.
“Okay, then find her dude. It’s the only thing you can do!” Gus said before he turned his attention to the teacher.
Okay, that’s what I’ll do. Jimmy Studman thought. After class he went around the whole school looking for her but unfortunately he didn’t find her and had to give up after an hour. He decided to go to Gus’s house around six, three hours after his search for her. You would think that being a super hero he would have better looking skills but No! When he got to Gus’s house they played video games for an hour before they heard Gus’s sister come home with a couple of her friends. Jimmy Studman looked back for only a second and thought that he saw her.
When Gus’s sister and her friends were out of earshot Jimmy Studman said to Gus, “That was her, the one with the brown hair!”
Gus didn’t believe that it was her that he was talking about.
“MAN, your mind is playing tricks on you. You cannot like Lola’s friend.” He said.
But, indeed it was Lola’s friend that Jimmy Studman liked. She was in Lola’s room at that very second.
And she was wondering if the guy in the living room was none other than the guy that helped her at lunch. She didn’t know for sure. Luckily, soon Gus and Lola’s mom came home with pizza. They all ended up in the dining room but still Jimmy Studman hasn’t learned her name. He didn’t get a chance to until almost everyone at the table was eating and she was still choosing pizza. He came up behind her placing his hand on her back then not meaning to she jumped.
Jimmy Studman stepped back and quickly said, “Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you. It’s just that I wanted to talk.” She smiled sweetly at what he said also signaling for him to go on but he was thinking ‘What a beautiful smile she has!’
Then he heard Lola say, “Jimmy, leave her alone.” as she came up and grabbed her by the arm and took her to the table. Jimmy Studman wanted to at least sit next to her but all the seats were taken. Sad day. After they were done Lola and her friends were going to hang out in her room again when there was a loud knock at the front door. Gus answered the door; there stood a semi-cute guy that was nowhere near the studliness of Jimmy Studman.
“Hi, is Andi here?” the guy asked. The girl that Jimmy Studman was trying to get to know stood up and went to Lola’s room to get her stuff. When she was going to walk out into the hallway there was Jimmy Studman.
“Your name is Andi?” He asked her.
“Yeah, sort of. It’s actually Andralyn but my boyfriend, that guy out there calls me, Andi.” She explained with a smile. “I should go, Riley is waiting.” She said as they shook each other’s hands as she said, “And again, Jimmy, it was nice to meet you.” Then, Jimmy Studman read her mind: ‘I wish we met a couple of weeks ago.’
Jimmy Studman couldn’t control himself when he said, “A couple of weeks ago? What would have been different?” Andralyn was shocked.
“How did you know I was thinking that?” She asked confused as they heard Riley call out for her. “Never mind I really have to go!” She said as she slowly walked down the hall towards the door.
“Wait, couldn’t I see you again some time?” Jimmy Studman said gently stopping her.
“I don’t know if that would be a great idea.”
“Why not?” Jimmy Studman asked sadly.
“I really have to go.” Andralyn said stepping backwards away from Jimmy who was only inches away from her face. “Sorry, I have to go.” She said now turning away, running towards where Riley was standing.
“What took you so long?” Riley asked kind of harshly.
“Oh, I couldn’t find my bag.” Andralyn said looking back to see Jimmy looking at her sadly. “Let’s go, please.” She told Riley who then grabbed her hand they both left.
Next morning Jimmy desperately looked for Andralyn. He found her right before the first class of the day.
“Andralyn, wait.” Jimmy said as he ran towards her with his super speed run. He couldn’t control himself, he run straight into her. Oh no. He knocked her backwards as he tripped forward falling right on top of her.
“Wow, you move fast.” Andralyn said with a laugh.
“What do you mean by fast?” Jimmy asked.
“I mean that you run fast.” She giggled as they heard the late bell ring. “Well, we’re late.”
“Sorry about that. I should get off of you.” Jimmy said as Andralyn nodded. He quickly got up off of her. “Sorry about that by the way. I mean the whole falling on top of you thing.”
“It’s okay; you were just running really fast maybe next time you want to talk to me walk over. Like you said be more careful.” She said teasingly. “Well, since we’re late you want to go get something to eat?” she asked him.
“TOTALLY!” he said a bit over excited, “I mean, yeah, sure, that’s cool.” He finished calmly. “What did you have in mind?”
“I was thinking we could go somewhere TOTALLY awesome,” She laughed, “Like Taco Bell.”
“Perfect. And I know you’re just making fun of me.” Jimmy said.
“Well, of course, come on we better get out of here before we get caught.” She said as they started walking towards the door that led to the parking lot.
“It sounds like you’ve done this before.”
“Well, I have a couple times but only with people I loved of course.”
“Loved?” he asked as he smiled goofily.
“Don’t get any ideas. I’m going with you right now because you clearly want to get to know me.” She laughed.
“Well, you’re right I do want to get to know you. But, I’m still sorry about making you late.” Jimmy said.
“Will you please stop apologizing? I already get that enough from Lola. I don’t need it from her brother’s best friend.”
“I would say sorry but you just told me not to.” Jimmy said smiling when Andralyn started laughing at what he said. Sweet, I got her to laugh Jimmy thought happily to himself.
“So, do you have any idea how we are going to get to Taco Bell?” She asked him as she remembered that Riley usually drives.
“We could fly there.” Jimmy Studman said being serious but Andralyn started laughing but stopped when she saw Jimmy’s face.
“You’re not joking are you?” she asked him cautiously he shook his head and without a word swooped Andralyn in his arms and took off flying, towards Taco Bell no doubt.

“Jimmy, you’re a super hero?” Andralyn asked him even though it was pretty obvious, but she loves pointing out the obvious it’s just her thing.
            “Well, yeah.” Jimmy said simply.
“That explains you running so fast, how easily you pulled me back, and how you…how you knew what I was thinking. You read my mind. I have to go home.” Andralyn said getting up from the booth they were sitting at.
            “I’ll take you.”
“No, you can’t.” She said and went out the door, Jimmy run after her but when he went outside only seconds later she was already gone nowhere to be seen.

“Dude, that’s weird! Andralyn is so annoying.” Gus said when Jimmy told him what happened that morning when they were at lunch.
“How is she annoying?” Jimmy asked not believing that she could be.
“Just things she does and says when she’s at my house.”
“Is she going to be there tonight?”
“Dude, I don’t know. I haven’t seen her all morning so I doubt it.”
            “Yeah, that’s my fault remember.”
“Oh, yeah, you’re right.” Gus said with a laugh and a far off look.
“I’m going to go see if I could find your sister.” Jimmy said getting up.
“Why do you need my sister?”
“She is Andralyn’s friend; she might know where she is.” He started to walk towards where he saw Andralyn the day before.

“Oh crap! Lola, Jimmy is coming, go distract him, please.” Andralyn said as she noticed Jimmy walking around obviously looking for something or someone and Andralyn couldn’t explain why she left earlier.
When Lola went to distract Jimmy, Andralyn and her best friend Sydney went off through the crowd of people trying to hide from Jimmy.

“Lola, hey. Do you know where Andralyn is?” Jimmy asked her still kind of looking around.
“Oh, I don’t know, but you look really nice today.” She said getting closer to him and not because someone walked too close behind her!
“Not now, Lola. I told you I don’t like you like that! You’re my best friend’s little sister, heck you’re like my little sister.” Jimmy said trying to make it as clear as possible that he wouldn’t like her. But, Lola isn’t so bright, she doesn’t get the hint most of the time. Right at that very second Jimmy saw her, she was across the room. Jimmy didn’t waste anytime in getting to her, he didn’t say bye to Lola, he just went to Andralyn. “Hey, Andralyn I want to talk to you.”
She knew she had no way out of talking to him. “Hi. What do you need?” She asked him not rudely but as if she was scared to talk to him all of the sudden.
“Why did you leave so fast earlier?” he asked her.
“How many people know the truth about you?” Not answering his question but asking her own.
“Well, my family of course, and you.” Jimmy said moving closer to Andralyn.
“Jimmy, you can’t do that to me, I only met you yesterday.” She said in a hushed tone. When they heard someone clear there voice as if trying to get attention.
“Excuse me, Andi but I’m still here.” Sydney said getting their attention as she wanted.
“Oh, Syd I’m sorry. Jimmy this is my best friend, Sydney. Sydney, Jimmy.”
“Nice to meet you Jimmy, I’ve heard so much about you.” Sydney said with a smile.
            “You have?” he asked confused.
“Not from me.” Andralyn said under her breath.
“Then from who?” he asked her.
“What do you have super hearing too?” Andralyn asked somewhat upset.
“No, you just said it loud enough for me to hear it.” Jimmy explained simply.
“Will you two stop fighting! You meet yesterday and you’re already fighting like an old married couple.”
“Are not.” Jimmy and Andralyn said unison.
“See that’s what I mean. Anyways Jimmy, Andi isn’t the one talking about you. Lola is.” Sydney said plainly.
“Lola?” Andralyn asked confused, before yesterday she never heard of Jimmy Studman.
“Lola.” Jimmy said a little angry.
“Why would Lola be talking about him?” Andralyn asked Sydney but Sydney isn’t the one who answered.
“She has this thing for me. She’s always had.” Jimmy Studman said.
“She never said anything about you to me.” Andralyn said.
“She once told me that she never talks to you about him because she thought that you would be attracted to him and he clearly would be attracted to you, well it’s obvious that he is.” Sydney explained.
“Crap, Riley is coming. Jimmy, you really have to go like right now.” Andralyn pleaded.
“Why do I need to go?” Jimmy asked bewildered.
“I’ll tell you later, please go.” Andralyn said begging him now.
“Later? Like at Lola’s around seven?” Jimmy asked.
            “Fine, I’ll be there. Go.”
“See you later, Andi. Nice to meet you, Syd.” Jimmy said as he slowly backed up away from them with his great smile.

After school Jimmy met up with Gus. “Guess who gets to see Andralyn tonight!” Jimmy said excitedly.
“Dude, let me guess, her boyfriend!” Gus said laughing.
            “No, me.”
“Man, you got to back off she has a boyfriend.”
“I know, but there’s just something about her. Like, I need to know her.”
“Anyways, I clearly can’t talk you out of it dude, so what are you going to do with her tonight?”
            “We’re just going to talk.”
“Dude, I know you and girls, you just talk to always ends up making out.”
“Not this time, I really like Andi.”
            “You’re calling her Andi now?”
            “Yeah,” Jimmy said.
“You met her yesterday!” Gus said angrily.
“Man, I know but we share something I haven’t with anyone else.” Jimmy said of course referring to his super hero powers.
            “What exactly is that?”
“It’s hard to explain.” Jimmy said he never really felt comfortable about telling him about his powers. “Anyways, I have to go my mom needs me home.”
When Jimmy got home his mom was there. “Hey, Mom, could I bring a friend over at seven?” he asked her as he walked into the kitchen where she was putting dishes away.
“Oh, Honey, it’s fine. Just remember no powers around anyone.” His mom said with a smile.
“Mom, I kind of told someone today.”
“What do you mean kind of?”
“It’s okay, she won’t tell anyone.”
“How do you know she won’t and who is this she anyways?”
“Her name is Andralyn; she’s one of Lola’s friends. I met her yesterday.”
“You say she won’t tell anyone based on one day.”
“Mom, there's just something about her, I could just tell.”
“You tell this girl your secret even before you can even think of telling Gus, your best friend ever since the first day we moved here. Remember when you two met, your father was taking you out for a walk when you were in your Batman costume.” His mom said as if she was taking a walk down memory lane.
“Yeah, I remember. I have homework to do before she gets here.”
            “Andralyn?”
“Yeah, Andralyn.” Jimmy said as he turn and went to his room, to do homework and to wait the arrival of Andralyn.
A little before seven Jimmy put on a clean shirt, and went over to Gus’ he didn’t go in or anything he just waited for Andralyn. A few minutes after seven Andralyn came walking around the corner. “Andi, hi, thanks for coming.” Jimmy said when she came closer, but when he said that she looked behind her seeming scared.
“I really shouldn’t be here right now. I’m going to get in so much trouble if they find out.” Andralyn said uneasily. She was of course referring to her father and Riley but that will be answered later.
            “They who?” Jimmy asked confused.
“Oh no one,” She said, “So what did you want me to tell you?”
“Well, why I had to leave when Riley was coming?”
“He gets really jealous.” She said only half truthful.
“Come on let’s go for walk.” He suggested as they started down the street, “So, you can’t let him see you talking to other guys?”
“No, that’s not it. I can’t let him see me with you. I can’t even let my father see me with anyone but Riley.” Andralyn explained.
“What does that mean? You’re only going out with Riley because of your father?”
            “Yeah kind of.”
            “Why would you do that?”
“Because, he’s all I have and if I have to be with Riley, I just have to be with Riley.”
“But, why would your dad make you go out with some guy you obvious don’t like?”
            “It’s complicated.”
            “Tell me, please.”
“It would be easier to show you.” She said as she opened the bag that was hanging by her hip with the strap across her chest lying on the opposite shoulder. Pulling out a big black book. “This is my father’s scrapbook of everything he has done. Things that I am not proud of.” She said opening to a page of newspaper clippings. News clippings that no one should be proud of.
“I don’t understand. Those are horrible things, why would your father be proud of stuff like this?” Jimmy asked.
“Because, he’s the one who did them.”  She said sheepishly, not scared just sad about it.
“But, those things are impossible for one man to do.”
“Not if he’s like you. Plus he’s not the only one, Sydney’s dad, Riley and his dad. They help my father do these things.”
            “They are like me?
“Not just them, Syd and…” She stopped looked around where they were standing. “Where are we?”
“Oh sorry, see that house at the end of the corner that’s mine. But, Syd and who?” He asked her while she looked around as if she felt someone watching them.
“Could we go inside your house?” She asked as she moved closer and whispered, “No powers, someone is watching us.” They just walked slowly to his front door.
“The other person is you? Isn’t?” He asked her after shutting the door.
She nodded, “But, unlike the other, Syd and I want to do good with our powers. But, I can’t find the good in one of my powers. Plus, my dad can use them for evil. He forces me to use them.”
“What power is that?” Jimmy asked as they walked towards his room.
“I can make people forget things. Whatever I want them to forget they forget it. I’m not proud of it. When I was little I accidentally used it on my father when I got in trouble for doing something but since he’s a super like you his memory came back after a few hours. He realized I was special and could be used in his plans.”
“How did you know someone was watching us out there?”
“That’s another power. I have like radar in my head. Sometimes I can actually tell who the person was.”
“This time?” Jimmy asked when they reached his room.
            “Lola.”
            “Seriously? That’s just plain creepy.”
“She really likes you apparently. When she found out about me meeting you tonight she was so upset. I’m the one who should be upset; I’m going to be in so much trouble if anyone else finds out.”
“Jimmy, it’s time for dinner.” His mom called from the dining room.
“Should I go?” Andralyn asked politely.
“No, my mom is expecting you for dinner.”
“Okay.” Jimmy took Andralyn’s hand gently.
“Are those the only powers you have?”
“You noticed how fast I disappeared earlier.”
“Of course one second you were with me than you weren’t.”
            “Exactly.”
            “What power is that?”
“I fly just like you. Only faster.” She said with a smile as they reached a door leading into the dining room. “Wait, there’s three people in there. Two are your parents. Who’s the other?”
“I don’t know who it could be. You can’t tell?”
            “It’s no one I recognize.”
“How does that work?” He asked her about the power.
            “Everyone is a different color.”
            “What color am I?”
            “You’re a green colored one.”
“Sweet, you want to go in?”
“It would be rude not to.”

Strangely enough they found Jimmy’s grandfather also in the dining room. Turns out Jimmy’s dad called him once his wife informed him that Jimmy has revealed the family secret.
“Andralyn, you must understand you can’t tell anyone of our family.” Jimmy’s grandpa said after explaining and without giving Andralyn a chance to speak.
Finally came her chance to talk, “Mr. Studman, you don’t have to worry. I will keep his secret. We do have the same secret after all.”
“Same secret? You mean? Really everyone in your family?” Andralyn had to think fast she already told Jimmy the truth about her father but she didn’t feel all too comfortable sharing that with his parents and grandpa.
“No, just me. No one else.” She lied calmly. Jimmy wanted to know why she’s lying almost as if she was expecting him to read her mind she talked to him through thought, I’m sorry I lied to them Jimmy but they can’t find out about my dad. I don’t know what would happen if they find out and I don’t know what I would do if anything happened to my dad.
“Well, that’s remarkable. Usually, they have at least one superhero parent.”
“Maybe my mom. I never met her though so I can’t tell you if that’s true or not.” That’s true by the way. She thought to Jimmy.
“Well, I’m done. How about you, Andi?” Jimmy asked her seeing if she wanted to leave the room.
“Yes, the food was wonderful Mrs. Studman, thank you.”

After that night, sharing each others secrets and thoughts they were just automatically together but on the down low. Jimmy understood about her father and Riley. Andralyn always would refer to Jimmy Studman as her boyfriend. This made him the very own Jimmy Studman High School Super Hero Boyfriend!

The Great Adventures of Jimmy Studman: Forgotten Girl

The Great Adventures of Jimmy Studman:
Forgotten Girl
Jimmy Studman isn’t just a regular high school student, he’s a super hero! He also plays sports but he has to keep his powers down while playing so no one would say he was cheating. Let’s just say he is a perfect boyfriend. This story continues Jimmy’s adventures.
Jimmy and his current girlfriend who he recently met after hearing her scream during school, Andralyn also known as Andi, who in turn has super powers of her own, have been secretly dating for little over a month. The only person that knows about them dating besides them is Sydney, Andi’s best friend who also has super powers. Sydney is helping them keep it a secret from Riley who is Andi’s villainess father’s successor. We start now on a day in early October. Jimmy and Andi over at the Frinkles’ home of their friends Gus and Lola. Gus has always been Jimmy’s best friends but he doesn’t know anything about there actually being superheroes in the world. Lola has always been in love with Jimmy so naturally they’ve been forced to keep their relationship from them because Andi doesn’t know what Lola would do out of jealous. Even Syd who can see into the future can’t see that one.
The Frinkles’ don’t really like Andralyn that much. It’s probably because she always over there when Jimmy is.  Now Jimmy and Andralyn are standing in the kitchen having a hushed conversation about where they’re having their next secret date.
“We can’t go to the movies. That’s the day my dad and all his ‘buddies’ go to the movies.” Andi said referring to Riley, his dad, her dad, and Syd’s dad.
“I still think that’s weird.” Jimmy laughed quietly.
“You could come to my house.” Andi suggested.
“Are you sure we won’t get caught there?” Jimmy Studman asked unsure of the situation.
“I can tell when someone is coming can’t I? I’ll make dinner and we’ll watch a movie.” She leaned in and pecked him on the cheek then moving away from him to the other side of the kitchen. Lola was the only word in Andi’s thoughts. Sure enough seconds later Lola walked in.
“Andi, what are you doing in here? Come on, we need to study. Jimmy, you really need to leave her alone. She’s not interested.” Lola grabbed Andi dragging her out of the kitchen. Andi looked back to Jimmy thinking, Love you.
“Same to you.” Jimmy said making it sound as if he was insulting Lola.
Andralyn was sitting on Lola’s bed working on her math homework quietly until Lola who was supposed to be working on an English paper looked up and just started staring at Andralyn.
“Lola, what’s wrong?” Andi asked looking up from her book.
“Jimmy just won’t leave you alone. It makes me so mad.” Lola got up and started pacing. Lola never mentioned anything about Jimmy to her. Andi heard that Lola had a crush on him from Syd.
“Why would it make you mad? Nothing is going on. All I was doing was getting a glass of water.” Andi tried telling her to calm her down.  She was playing dumb because she doesn’t want Lola knowing that she actually talks to and about Jimmy.
“What was he doing?” Lola asked unsurely.
“He was ignoring me. After he found out I was your friend he sort of lost interested in me.” Andi lied without thought.
“Okay.” Lola said looking back to her paper. Andi was tempted to see if Lola would tell her that she liked Jimmy but she didn’t want to push the subject.
Meanwhile, Jimmy was out in the Living room with Gus playing video games.
“Dude, you’ve seem to be gone a lot lately at lunch and after practice. Are you secretly dating anyone? Like a tall brunette who is one of my sister’s friends?” Gus said. He seems to be more observant than Jimmy thought. Jimmy couldn’t have him knowing. He could accidently slip it to Lola and everything would go wrong at least according to Andi.
“Man, no. I can’t be dating her she has a boyfriend.” Jimmy said quickly in responds.
“Whatever, man. I know you’re hooking up with someone. And last I heard you were crushing on her.”
“I’m not hooking up with anyone especially her.” He looked at the clock over the fire place. “I got to go.” Jimmy got up and left the house. Jimmy didn’t walk home in fact he walked in the opposite direction.
Five minutes later, Andi finished her homework and looked at her phone. “I have to get home for dinner. See you tomorrow.” She said putting her book into her bag.
“Say hi to Riley for me.” Lola replied with a smile.
“Of course.” Andi was uncomforted by that request. When she walked out into the hallway Gus was standing there. “Gus, hi. I was just leaving.”
“I’m sure you were. I know what you two are doing.” He said sternly.
“We were just doing homework.” Andi playing dumb again.
“Just tell Jimmy that he forgot his science book here. That is when you see him.”
“Well, I guess I can walk down the street and give it to him. If you really think it’s important but other than that I actually didn’t have any plans to see Jimmy.”
“You two think you are so good at hiding it but I see through you.”
“Okay, Gus, I’m leaving now.” She left without the science book.
Andi met up with Jimmy at their secret place. “Gus knows!” Andi said very angrily. Their secret place was not so secret it was actually a public park.
“Yeah, I know he was giving me the third degree.” Jimmy said sitting down on a picnic table.
“You know I could always make him forget.” Andi smiled jokingly.
“What are the side affect to that anyways?”
“I don’t know haven’t seen the people I’ve done it on more than once.”
“Then we shouldn’t try it on Gus. What if it messes with his ability to remember anything?”
“So there would be no difference then?”
“Come on, he remember things. And you can’t just do it because you don’t like him.” He said after he read her mind.
“Jimmy, stop that. I told you can only read it when I’m leaving or entering a room or if a give you the look.”
“You were making a face when you thought that. He does too like you! More than you think too. Why do you think he’s so worked up about this?”
“Because his best friend is spending time with his little sister’s friend. Just imagine if you were dating Lola. How upset do you think he would be at that?”
“Actually, less upset than the fact that he thinks I’m dating you. He likes you a lot.”
“Oh…could I make him forget about that?”
“You are not going to use you powers on him.” Jimmy said sternly. Andi leaned towards him and kissed him quickly.  “You have you leave already?”
“I have a date with Riley. I’ll see you Saturday?”
“Of course. You’re coming to the game?”
“Wouldn’t miss it for anything.” Andi said flying off before another word could be said. Jimmy just walked home.
Jimmy Studman got home to find that his grandpa was there sitting in the living room with his parents. Jimmy read his mother’s mind accidentally, she seems so nice.
“What’s going on?” Jimmy asked cautiously not daring to sit down.
“Why didn’t you tell us who she was?” Jimmy’s dad questioned sternly.
Jimmy decides to act like he didn’t know what they were talking about. “Yes I did. Her name is Andi.”
“You know that’s not what we mean.”Jimmy’s mom said getting up from the couch to go get something from the kitchen. She came back with a piece of paper.
“Did you know that your girlfriend is a part of The Sinister Six?” She seemed to be holding a sheet printed off a secret website open only to superheroes that offers a list of villains and history of crimes committed.
“Yeah, I knew that.” His parents and grandpa got a disappointed look on their face.
“What are you doing with a girl like that?” His grandpa asked disgusted.
“What do you mean? She hates working with her dad. She’s not bad at all.” Jimmy inquired harshly. He was almost upset enough to storm out but he stopped when his mom looked ashamedly down. I knew that must have been right. “Of course it was right, mom. She’s the nicest person I’ve ever met.”
“You need to stop seeing her. Her father is a threat to our family.” His grandfather said harshly. “Don’t make me make the decision for you.” His grandpa could force anyone to do anything that he wanted, he usually only used his powers for good but Jimmy Studman believes if his grandpa forces him to do this one thing he’ll never be able to trust him again. EVER!
“If you do that, I’ll leave.” Jimmy replied simply before walking out of the room. All Jimmy wants to do was go see Andi. He wanted to be with Andi. He loves Andi. He can’t break up with her. He loves her way too much to ever break it off with her. He ended up at the Frinkles’. He thought hanging out with Gus is better than being alone right now. He knew he couldn’t talk to Gus about his Andi problem. Gus wouldn’t understand why his family wants him to break it off with Andi. Besides Gus would be pleased if he breaks up with Andi.
“Hey, something’s up.” Gus said as soon as Jimmy walked in.
“Nothing’s up.” Jimmy lied horribly.
“Trouble in Andi Paradise?” He asked as he thought ‘I wish I was in that paradise.’ Jimmy wish he didn’t hear that but Gus’s thoughts of Andi are really loud thoughts.
“Dude, I can’t be dating Andi. Like I said she has a boyfriend.” ‘Which is my problem too.’ Gus thought. Jimmy tried hard to ignore that. He didn’t know how much he could take. His family wants him to break up with her and his best friend wants to date her. How is Jimmy supposed to deal with all of this? He can’t tell Gus that he’s going out with Andi because Gus might tell Lola and Lola is the worst when it comes to jealousy when it comes to the Frinkles. Gus won’t act on his jealousy but Lola is an unknown variable who just might explode everything.
“Sure you’re not. Come on, man. It’s me, Gus, your best friend. I know everything there is to know about you. I also know since you’ve started talking about Andi over a month ago and completely stopped about two day after meeting her. Also you’ve haven’t been flirting with the usual suspects. So obviously something’s going on. If I notice how long do you think her boyfriend would take before he notices this too? My advice to you is break loose now before you get in some kind of trouble with that guy. That dude is freakin’ scary.”
“I can handle him.” Jimmy said confidently. Honestly he didn’t know if he could actually take on Riley. Andi never talks about his superpowers. So he has no idea what he would be up against.
“Aha! I got you! I can’t believe you were keeping that from me! It’s not like I’m going to be jealous or anything.” Yeah, right. Gus is totally jealous but he’ll never admit this to Jimmy.
“Fine, you got me. I’m dating Andi but you cannot tell anyone. Not even Lola.”
“Oh, Lola would be really upset if she found out. I know for a fact she was trying to keep Andi away from you. She never even told Andi about you because she thought something like this would’ve happened. Looks like it happened.” Little did Jimmy and Gus know was that Lola was listening in on this conversation and already figuring a good time to break it to Riley. Her plan went like this in her head: tell Riley, Riley beats up Jimmy, she take cares of Jimmy, he falls madly in love with her, and they get married. Her plans involving Jimmy always include marriage.
Then Jimmy had a thought. He could use Riley as the excuse why his family wants him to break up with Andi and actually have the conversation with Gus all he has to do is replace everything about the Sinister Six with Riley. Easy. “Dude, my family actually found out about Andi and Riley and they want me to break up with her now.”
“Maybe you should. She obviously doesn’t care about you enough to break up with Riley.”
“It’s way more complicated than just that. It has to do with her dad. He would be furious if he knew.” Lola still listening just added another part to her plan. Tell Andi’s dad. That would be sure to get rid of Andi. Okay, so you don’t get the wrong idea about Lola. She is actually a really great friend but under these circumstances, anything having to do with Jimmy Studman, she goes a bit crazy and can’t help herself.
“You must really love her. If it was me I would have totally gotten out of there by now if it was her dad with the problem.” Gus said right when his mom walked in the house loudly asking, “Lola, what are you doing?” Then Jimmy read her mind realizing she was listening but not seeing her plan to get him. ‘I have to warn Andi’ Jimmy thought before walking out of the house without another word.
At home Jimmy avoided his parents going straight to his room and picking up the phone to call Andi but he got no answer. He left several messages for her hoping those would at least get to her.
“Jimmy! Get out here now!” Jimmy’s dad yells from the living room. Jimmy obeyed reluctantly.
“Look at this! I think I know who we can blame for this!” Jimmy’s grandpa was yelling at him. There was a news report of missing artifacts from the Museum of History. There were no witnesses even though it happened in front of everyone just a few minutes earlier. He didn’t want to believe it but there was no other explanation it was the Sinister Six and Andi was involved. So that’s what Andi means when she has dates with Riley. She doesn’t really have dates she has missions with the Sinister Six. I’m going to have to confront her when I see her, thought Jimmy. Unfortunately for Jimmy at this moment he forgot about the threat of Lola. Jimmy was upset to find out that Andi had been going on missions behind his back. She never mentions the Sinister Six if she can help it. Jimmy was just so upset he went to sleep wanting to calm down before he even thought more of talking to Andi about this.
The next morning at breakfast Jimmy just pushed around his food still too upset to eat. And it totally didn’t help that his parents were at the table talking about how he should break things off with Andi before things go too far. Their worries were what if the two had a bad break up in the future and she used all the information she has gain throughout their relationship to take him and his family down or what if the Sinister Six found out and forced the secrets of the Studmans from her.
Jimmy was thankful he had to get to school earlier today for a morning practice before today’s game after school. He was also hoping to see Andi there. He really needed to talk to her to see why she’s been hiding the fact that she’s been doing evil but the more Jimmy thought about it the more he realized what could he have done anyways to talk her out of going. She would be in major trouble with her dad if she hadn’t gone. He was thinking now that it was probably a good idea she kept him in the dark because he would’ve gone after her to stop the robbery they committed. He would’ve probably been hurt or worse killed if he tried going up against the Six minus two. So that morning after practice Jimmy found Andi and took her to a secluded part of campus and kissed her realizing than that he truly loved her and always will.
“Jimmy, what was that for?” Andi asked breathlessly looking at him brightly with her dazzlingly blue eyes. He hugged her as he replied, “I love you more than life itself.”
“I love you too but I was kind of wondering about your message you left on my phone yesterday?”
“Message?” Jimmy asked confused trying to remember why he had been trying to call her last night. “Oh, crap! I can’t believe I forgot---”
“So, Lola wasn’t just trying to get me to beat you up after all. You really are seeing my girlfriend behind my back!” Riley seems furious because he is furious. Riley in his own weird way does actually love Andi and this discovery that she didn’t love him back actually made him enraged enough to use his powers on Jimmy. Only the next thing Jimmy knew was that he was in his first class unaware of what happened after Riley showed up. Now Jimmy knew Andi did something to make him forget he just couldn’t remember what it was that he has forgotten but since he is a super he will get his memory back just like Andi said her dad did the first time she ever used her powers.
Gus leans over to Jimmy quietly asking, “So now that I and Lola know are you and Andi are going public? Or were you two not thinking walking to class together?” Andi walked me to class?, Jimmy thought confused about what Gus was talking about. She must have gotten rid of my memories after she got me to class. Why would she erase my memory of us walking to class?
“Did Andi look okay?” Jimmy asks Gus wanting to know if there was anything wrong with her. Jimmy was trying really hard to remember something he was not supposed to.
“She looked fine.” Amazing, Gus thought to himself. Jimmy was relieved to hear Gus’s thought now. He knew it didn’t have to do with Andi being hurt. So it involved what happened to Riley. Why would she use her powers on either of us anyways? The memory will come back eventually. That means Riley will remember about me and Andi. Everything will be ruin. Jimmy moved in his seat and pain in his chest appeared. He felt like he couldn’t breathe.  Is this a side effect of Andi’s powers? He raised his hand and asked for the pass to the bathroom.
Once in the bathroom Jimmy realized what was causing the pain. There was a big bruise on his chest. This was something new to Jimmy. He has never ever had a cut or a bruise. Riley must have incredible strength. Jimmy really hopes he only got one punch in. Before Jimmy’s eyes the bruise was healing slowly but it was still quicker than most. He knew by the end of the day the bruise will be a distant memory as will be the memory he will get back by that time but he believed he was piecing everything together perfectly. He slowly walked back to class but this trek came with the misfortune of running into no one other than Lola.
“Oh Jimmy, hi, did anything happen this morning?” Lola asked concernedly standing as close as she possibly could to Jimmy ever step he took back she took forward.
“Nothing that I can remember. Just Practice.” Jimmy replied mostly truthfully. He can’t remember what happen but he knows something did happen.
“Really, no run in with Riley or anyone?” Lola asked taking the unwanted chance at touching Jimmy chest right where the bruise was almost as if she knew it was there. He flinched slightly. No she couldn’t have been there. Of course she was there she wanted to see her master plan play out. She saw every punch mostly from Riley. She even saw when Andi got in between the two and got hit in the face causing her to have a swollen eye. Right after Andi got hit Riley’s hands went limp and Andi whispered something to him and he just walked away. Andi then whispered something to Jimmy who got up and followed her. As they walked away Andi covered her eye with her hair making it nearly impossible to notice. This is what caused Gus not to notice anything strange.
I wonder how she is? I really feel horrible about that part. Lola thought, Jimmy wanted to know what she was thinking about now, that she knew the truth about what really happened even though he can’t fully remember it himself the whole thing made sense to him. But what can he really do about something that already happened? He could make a plan keep Riley from telling anyone about him and Andi. That would be a good way to use up his time until lunch when he can see Andi and see if she’s okay and if she has any plans of her own. “Lola, I have to be getting back to class now.” He got out of there as fast as he could without using any super powers.
He was thankful for lunch because he came up with about zero plans to keep Riley from telling Andi’s dad about their relationship. He’s hoping more than anything that she has a plan. “Andi?” Jimmy asked cautiously afraid of seeing her eye badly hurt but the moment that Andi looked at him all he saw was her perfect undamaged face. His hand quickly went up to her face.
“How did you know about that? You can’t have your memory back already.”
“Lola.” Jimmy replied shocked about her face. “I don’t understand what happened?”
“I happened.” Sydney said walking over closer to them. “I could help with your injuries too.” Sydney has the power to health which helps the Sinister Six if they land in sticky situation where someone gets hurt.
“Wow that would be awesome. My chest is killing me.”
“That’s because you have a broken bone.” Sydney placed her hand on Jimmy chest healing the broken bone.
“Wait, what do you mean Lola told you about my black eye?” Andi asked confused she obviously didn’t know that Lola was there.
“Well, I guess after she told Riley about us she wanted to see what would happen to me.”
“She is going to get suspicious when she sees that my face has healed.” Andi said worried about what would happen when Lola saw her.
“I think you should use your powers to make her forget.” Sydney told Andi a little afraid of the idea because she also didn’t know what it would do to how the person retains memories.
“I can’t. It wouldn’t be right she’s our friend. We should’ve been able to trust her with this in the first place.” No one could tell if Andi meant her and Jimmy or all of their powers. Either way Jimmy didn’t find the choices all that appealing.
“Andi, you honestly can’t be saying that. Look what she did because she found out. I think it would’ve been harder for us if we told her before.”
“Maybe, it would have but now we’ll never know and I will have to keep using my powers on Riley.” Jimmy wrapped his arms around Andi trying to comfort her not knowing what else to do. He knew he had to do something or else Andi and him were finished. That couldn’t happen. He would not let another day go by without her now that he knew what life was like with her.
“How long until we fully get our memories back?” Jimmy asked really wanting to know what he would need to worry about Riley again. He knew for sure that Riley had some kind of super strength but he didn’t want to discovery any of his other powers especially if it puts Andi in danger again. Jimmy was glad for Sydney in the moment because when he was unable to protect Andi, Sydney was there to heal her.
“It takes a few hours. I will have to hang around Riley after school for a while to prevent it from happening in front of my dad.”
“I wish I could be with you.” Andi smiled at Jimmy knowing how much he wanted to protect her. As for right now, she had to be the protector. She was the only one with the power to do so. Jimmy Studman felt powerless at that moment. How could this get any better from here? How could Jimmy and Andi be together without the fear of Riley remembering and Andi’s dad finding out about Jimmy?
